2. Visiting this website
This website does not use analytics, advertising trackers, tracking cookies, or third-party video embeds. Images, gameplay footage and fonts are served directly with the website. The page does not store personal data in your browser.
Loading a website necessarily transmits technical connection information, such as your IP address and the requested resource, to the server delivering it. This information is used to provide the website and maintain its security, based on our legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. We do not use it to profile visitors or for advertising.
Our website and our email are operated by netcup GmbH, Emmy-Noether-Str. 10, 76131 Karlsruhe, Germany. netcup processes data solely on our behalf and according to our instructions under a data processing agreement (Article 28 GDPR). The servers are located in Nuremberg, Germany; no data is transferred to third countries. Where server logs are created (IP address, time, requested page, browser identifier), they are used only for security and troubleshooting and deleted after 7 days at the latest.
3. When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to share. We use these details to respond to and handle your enquiry. Providing this information is voluntary, but we cannot answer your enquiry without it. Depending on the enquiry, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for contract-related requests, or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for our legitimate interest in answering other correspondence.
Your correspondence is accessible only to people who need it to handle your request. Our email is processed by netcup GmbH (see section 2) in Germany. We keep it only as long as needed to resolve the enquiry, unless a legal retention obligation or the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims requires longer retention. We do not sell your personal data.
4. Links to social networks
Our website links to our profiles on TikTok, Instagram, X and Steam. These are plain links, not embedded content or plugins: no data is sent to these providers when you visit our website. Only when you click a link does the provider’s page open, and that provider then processes data under its own responsibility and privacy policy.
5. Optional gameplay data
Some of our games may offer an optional way to share gameplay data, such as information about an individual run, to help us balance and improve the game. Whether this functionality exists depends on the particular game. It is not automatically implemented in every Coderline game, and this policy does not mean that Ape Squad currently collects such data.
Where this functionality is available, it is disabled unless you give informed, voluntary consent. Before you agree, the game will explain what data is collected, why it is needed, who receives it, and how long it is kept. When personal data is involved, the legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.
You can decline without losing access to the game, or withdraw consent at any time using the option provided in that game or by contacting us. Withdrawal stops future collection based on that consent and does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. Personal data is deleted when no longer needed or when consent is withdrawn, unless another lawful basis requires its retention. Specific details will be provided in the relevant game’s privacy notice.
6. Your GDPR rights
Subject to the conditions in the GDPR, you can request access (Article 15), correction (Article 16), deletion (Article 17), restriction of processing (Article 18) and data portability (Article 20). You can withdraw any consent at any time with effect for the future (Article 7(3)).
Right to object: where we process data based on our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), you can object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Article 21 GDPR). We will then stop processing the data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
Send any GDPR request to gdpr-request@coderline.de. Please tell us which game or interaction your request concerns so we can locate any relevant data. We may ask for information necessary to verify your identity. We normally respond within one month; where the GDPR permits an extension, we will explain it within that first month.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, including the authority in your place of habitual residence, work, or the alleged infringement. Our local authority is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen.
7. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when our website or data practices change. Game-specific information will be provided before any optional gameplay collection is enabled.
